Sinharaja is a pristine tropical rainforest located in southwestern Sri Lanka. It is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Biosphere Reserve due to its exceptional biodiversity and ecological significance. Covering approximately 88.64 square kilometers, Sinharaja is one of the last remaining primary rainforests on the island.

The forest is home to an incredible array of flora and fauna, many of which are endemic to Sri Lanka. This includes a rich variety of plant species, as well as numerous birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. Sinharaja's dense canopy and diverse habitat make it a vital area for scientific research and conservation efforts.
