About Sri Lanka E – Visa

Sri Lanka eVisa is an Electronic Travel Authorisation to enter srilanka. Sri Lanka offers an e-visa for more than 100+ countries. Travellers can apply for an evisa online and receive an electronic travel authorisation in PDF format. Upon arrival in Sri Lanka, travellers can show the printed copy of the visa letter and get their passport stamped.

Sri Lanka Goverment offers an eVisa for Tourism & Business Purpose. The visa type, visa duration & number of entries depend on the nationality of the applicants and are fixed.  Applicants are advised to obtain Sri Lanka evisa online before travelling to srilanka. The E-Visa process is completely online and no paperwork is required. Once Sri Lanka’s e-visa is approved, it will be sent via email. Applicants have to carry a printed copy of the approved e-visa letter and passport while travelling. A visa letter will be verified by Sri Lankan officer at the airport and the passport will be stamped.

Sri Lanka Online ETA Application

Tourist Permit 30 Days | Validity 180 Days | Double Entry

An ETA is an Electronic Travel Authorisation to enter Sri Lanka for tourism purposes. Applicants can obtain Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Visa by completing a simple & easy eVisa application online. Sri Lanka ETA is valid for 90 Days or 30 Days, depending on the type of application selected. Applicants can obtain an approved Sri Lanka ETA in 2-3 days. A passport must be valid for 6 months from the date of arrival. Please check the list of countries eligible for Sri Lanka ETA before applying.

Sri Lanka Online Business Visa

Business Visa Permit 30 Days | Validity 180 Days | Double Entry

Sri Lanka ETA is an Electronic Travel Authorisation to enter Sri Lanka for tourism purposes. Applicants can obtain Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Visa by completing a simple & easy eVisa application online. Sri Lanka ETA is valid for 90 Days or 30 Days, depending on the type of application selected. Applicants can obtain an approved Sri Lanka ETA in 2-3 days.  Important Information & Links

  • Once an e-Visa is approved, remember to verify all information. Information on the visa letter should match exactly as on the passport.
  • Carry a printed copy of the e-Visa letter while travelling along with your passport.
  • A passport should have 6 months’ validity from the date of arrival.
  • Entry before arrival date is not permitted; however, travellers can enter Sri Lanka on date during 180 Days Visa validity.

Documents Required for Sri Lanka Visa

  • Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months
  • Image of the passport information page
  • , invitation letter & Business Card is required in case of a business visa.
  • Although prior booking of a hotel is not mandatory, in some cases, hotel booking information is required.

All applicants from eligible countries can apply for a Sri Lanka visa if they have a passport that is valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of arrival. A passport must have 2 blank pages.

In some cases, a digital passport photo is required. The photo must have a plain background and can be taken using a phone or any camera.

An image of the bio page of the passport is required to ensure all details on the visa letter is correct to avoid issues on arrival.

Only in the case of a business visa, the immigration team might ask for a business invitation letter or a business card.
